As a result of the current pandemic and concerns about spread of COVID-19, procedures for the completion of OT driving assessments have changed.
We take your safety seriously. The occupational therapy driver assessment takes place in an enclosed environment, with 3 people in the vehicle. It is not possible to maintain physical distancing as recommended by the Department of Health. As such (as per DHHS guidelines COVID-19 - A guide to the conventional use of PPE-20200520_0, COVID-19 Infection control guidelines) we have put measures in place to optimise your safety when undertaking your assessment.
We continue to ask that you wear a mask when driving and are still unable to take more than three people in the car.
