Our occupational therapists make recommendations to VicRoads about safety and independence to drive as well as any conditions to be placed on your licence. Further information about VicRoads processes, licencing and your health can be found on the VicRoads website.
Any medical and eyesight reports requested by VicRoads can be found on the VicRoads website and in the resources tab on this website.
Your health professional can now submit all reports via an online form on the VicRoads website.

We work with self and plan-managed NDIS participants to achieve their driving related goal. These assessments use an agreed number of hours of your NDIS funding to include:
A signed service agreement (which we will send to you ) must be returned before your assessment can take place.
The line number used for NDIS billing for an OT driving assessment and reports is 15_056_0128_1_3. The OT is responsible for assessment and reporting to the NDIS relating to your driving goal.
Did you know that to access specialised driver training you need to undertake an OT driving assessment?
Specialised Driver Training is funded under a separate line item number (15_046_0129_1_3).
Quotations for lessons need to be submitted to the NDIS for approval following your OT driving assessment, even if funding has previously been allocated in your plan.
Applications for assistive technology as deemed clinically appropriate will be submitted by your OT following your assessment.
You may be eligible for financial assistance to help purchase the vehicle modifications required to keep you on the road.
